AIR Celebrates World Radio Day in Itanagar

All India Radio, Itanagar celebrated the ‘World Radio Day’ at its office complex in Itanagar today. Participating in the event, Deputy Director and Head of Office AIR Itanagar, N. Ramanjanappa stressed on the importance of Radio, especially in Arunachal Pradesh.

He appealed all the AIR staffs to give more emphasis on the contents and quality of the programmes, so that it can benefit its listeners. He said All India Radio with its 5 stations across the state has got larger responsibility to entertain, educate and make the listeners more responsible. All the staffs of the radio station participated in the small function.


World Radio Day was adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in 2012 as an International Day to be observed on February 13 every year. The theme for this year’s World Radio Day is “Radio and Peace”.
