ITANAGAR, SEPT 30 : The Additional director general (ADG) Maj General Gagan Deep along with Group Commander Tezpur Group Brig SS Gill and Commanding Officer 1 AP Bn NCC Col Roshan Verma on Saturday visited various schools of Lower Subansiri district and motivated the students and youths to become a goo human being and serve the society and maintain a clean environment around the school and home to stay healthy, fit and fine with a healthy body and sound mind.
The team led by ADG visited the Government higher secondary school Yazali and government higher secondary school Ziro on 30 sep 2023 and interacted the students and faculty and discuses on various issue of school and carrier oriented subjects.
The visit was a part of outreach toward rural area and focusing the villages he interact with the Principal, ANOs & Cadets also motivated the Cadets that education is the first priority and brief about the benefits of NCC certificates in Career.
The Arunachal Pradesh NCC-1 Battalion, Naharlagun has conducted Megha puneet sagar Abhiyan on Prevention of plastic pollution and its impact on the environment, wildlife, and human health in various parts of Lower Subansiri district to motivate the students, youths, parents and faculty of schools.
Four events were conducted by the unit to spread awareness i.e poster painting, lecture, essay writing, quiz and Nukkad Natak competition on 9th and 10 Sep 23. Various institutions participated in the competition and the winners were felicitated with prize to boost their morale.
A rally was organised in which around and 250 cadets participated in the rally and various events to educate the local population about the harmful effects of plastic pollution. The Adm officer Lt Col K D Reddy, Sr GCI Yaro Taksing, Official members of 1 AP Bn NCC Nlg and teachers of RGU, DNGC, RGGP, GHSS Itanagar, GHSS Nlg, GHSS polo colony take part in various programmes.
