ITANAGAR, July 24: Arunachal Against Corruption (AAC) which is on a weeklong seven-day sit-in dharna/protest at the IG Park, D Sector in the state capital Itanagar and Sunday being 2nd day has accused Chief Minister Pema Khandu of involving in corrupt practice and demanding his resignation.

Speaking to the media, the AAC President Tarh Tahar informs that time and again we have been observing that the present chief minister Pema Khandu is been accused and allegedly involved in multi-crore scams in various departments. Time and again various organizations have demanded his resignation.  we never tried to put forward any memo to him so on Monday we have planned to meet Governor and will submit a memorandum in this regard. Said Tahar.

There has been corruption and corrupt practice prevailed in various departments and it is necessary that all those officers who are involved and responsible should be booked as per law and they need to be punished. A high-level investigation is always needed but several corruption and corrupt practice are either never been involved or the corrupt officers and officials are not been punished. So it is better than the state government should without any delay recommend for CBI investigation or else he should also resign to pave way for a free and fair investigation. He said.

He also reoffered several instances of corruption in the Geology & Mining department where the investigation is awaited, the recent DDUGJY and the matter has reached to court and various schemes and departments he said.

Our organization has been formed in 2021 to fight against corruption and we shall continue to fight corruption and corrupt practice at various levels we are on dharna and will continue till July 29 to draw the attention of the general public. The AAC President Tarh Tahar added.
