3 persons died in two separate road accidents while several were injured

ITANAGAR, JULY 9 ; Three people have been reported to have died in two separate road accidents in two different locations in Papum Pare and Leparada district of state in the last 24 hours..

Leparada SP P Thongdok informs that two people have died in a road accident wherein a passenger bus travelling from Daporijo (Upper Subansiri district) to Silapathar in Dhemaji district met with an accident on Thursday night.

SP said that in a very unfortunate incident on 08/07/2021 at around 9:30 PM a bus bearing registration number AR 07 2693 met with an accident between Ragi Doke and Sodo Doke around 11 Kms from Tirbin township. The bus was travelling from Daporijo to Silapather. On receipt of the information District Police and administration rushed to the spot. SP said.

The villagers of Ragi Doke and Sodo Doke showing exemplary humanitarian assistance had already reached the spot and acted as first responders. The Bus was with 15 passengers including the 02 drivers. The driver of the vehicle died on the spot while his co-driver succumbed to his injuries while being evacuated to the District Hospital Basar. SP said.

Rest of the passengers have been evacuated and given treatment at District Hospital Basar and are stable. A case has been registered at Tirbin Police station to find out the cause of the accident. SP Leparada added.

In another road accident in the early morning of Friday a car met with an accident in Upper C Sector nearby the private residence of Chief Minister resident wherein a youth has been reported dead.

Itanagar SDPO Kamdam Sikkom informed telephonic information received from someone that a Santro car met with an accident and fell from the height in CM Pema Kandu’s private residence P. Sector Itanagar this morning at around 6 am on 09/07/2021.

On received of the information Police Station ready team along with the Officer SI Sanjeet rushed to the spot and found one boy name Choki Kuyapa S/o Choki Nikpo r/o D Sector Itanagar very serious at the spot and immediately team brought the deceased to the RKM Hospital but later he was died at Hospital. SDPO said.

Case was registered at PS Itanagar and later the body was handed over to the deceased family after proper legal formalities. Sikom added.
