RUPA, Sep 01: Rupa Police in West Kameng district and Military Intelligence (MI) of Eastern Command have arrested 3 persons for allegedly trying to sell truck load of cement bags of BRO to private persons.
As per reports, along with 3 persons, the truck loaded with cement has also been seized.
According to a statement, on receiving information about illegal sale of BRO cement belonging to 91 RCC GREF, a joint team of MI Eastern Command and Rupa Police was formed and a trap was laid on OKSRT road on August 30, 2022.
A truck, which was seen arriving, was stopped and the cement bags were unloaded near a private dump yard, it said.
Upon checking, it was revealed by the truck driver that the cement belonged to 91 RCC and these were being sold to one RD Thongdok who was later taken into custody, it added.
As per the statement, 2 more persons Milan Dorjee and Sanjib Yadav have also been arrested. A case under appropriate sections has been registered at Rupa PS. The police are investigating the case.
