ITANAGAR, July 18 : The newly posited DIG Vijay Kumar, IPS for newly created Itanagar Capital complex range and the 1st DIG of Itanagar Capital Complex range has took over the charge and started functioning at the newly constructed building for Itanagar Capital SP at G Extension here.
Speaking to media, on Tuesday, the Itanagar Range DIGP Vijay Kumar said that the pending cases disposal would be the top priority for state police, I will always look forward for the better policing and welfare fo the officers, officials for better coordination among the officers for a peaceful place. He said.
The state government has created two separate Superintendent of Police (SP) for Itanagar and Naharlagun including SP Traffic, Kumar said with the increase in the SP office will increase the numbers of police stations may also teaks place as per requirement. Which will directly create job opportunities and better serviced to the people of capital complex. he added.
Expressing pleasure over the creation of separate SP offices, he said now the police can work their jurisdiction smoothly relating to any kind of criminal cases. Accordingly there will be four SDPO in addition to the Dy SP Hq etc. the four SDPOs which include SDPO Chimpu, Itanagar, Naharlagun and Nirjuli respectively. He said.
The main function of police is to contain, law and order problem and control crime and criminal activities. Gambling activities will not be tolerated. He said.
Apart of normal duty and patrolling and maintaining traffic control and parking and others traffic related issue the capital police has a greater role in curbing the drug menace which the APP has waged war against Drug for while every one has to join hands in fight against the drug menace for healthy society. The Itanagar Capital Range DIGP has further appeal the denizens to support and cooperate the capital police to maintain the Itanagar capital complex a peaceful place to live in happiness, peace and prosperous and healthy life. In case any help and need of police support do not hesitate to dial the control room/ contact the ERSS vehicle or the nearest police station and outpost and assured to help the people in needy, the capital police is ready to help all but always remain alert and always follow rules and regulation and abide as a good citizen.
