12 hours bandh on APPSC paper leakage has paralyzed all activities in Pasighat

ITANAGAR, Dec 23 :  The 12–hours Pasighat bandh call given by All Bogong Students’ Union (ABSU) has paralysed normal life in East Siang district on Friday. No untoward incident was reported during the bandh which started from 5 am – 5 pm.

The bandh was called by ABSU to press their demands which included arrest of then APPSC chairman Nippo Nabam and other top officials of commission who were involved in the cash for job scam.

Further the unions also threaten to initiate its second phase of bandh call if the state government fails to fulfill their demand within one week. During the bandh the roads of the Pasighat township including National Highway and arterial roads were deserted, commercial & private vehicles,  business establishment, government offices, shopping mall and market etc remain closed.

The Pasighat is the 2nd biggest town in Arunachal Pradesh next to Itanagar. Pasighat is the district headquarter fo East Siang district which has also been declared as smart city by government of India.
