ITANAGAR, SEPT 11 : One person has been reportedly died in accident when a folk land heavy machinery (earthmover) engaged in earth cutting on Joram-Koloriang Trans Arunachal Highway (TAH) in Sangram Sub-division of Kurung Kumey district meet with an accident due to landslide on Saturday afternoon. Informed an official.
Kurung Kumey SP Incharge Dusu Kaling confirming the incident said that it was an unfortunate incident which took place at 1 Kilo area toward Koloriang in Sangram sub-division wherein a folkland meet with accident when a massive landslide fall in the machinery engaged for earth cutting on the TAH.
A UD case has been registered at Sangram Police station after a written information received from the project manager package 06 of TAH.
As per preliminary report inform that the excavator were on earth cutting all of a sudden a large portion of soil from hillside slided. As a result one excavator(sany-215) toppled due to huge earth/soil pressure. The helper of said excavator had come under the excavator machine and the soil and died on the spot. SP said.
The deceased has been identified as Jahidul islam s/o nurul islam of Kharmuja vill, po/ps- Goalpara Assam. The body of the deceased dugged out from the spot further legal formalities are being done. SP said.
The Sangram Police preliminary enquiry said that there is no foul play established or suspected. The incident was found to be an accident in nature. SP Kaling added.
