Week long science festival “Vigyan Sarvatra Pujyate” concluded. 

Itanagar, February 28: The week long science festival “Vigyan Sarvatra Pujyate” concluded today on 28th February, 2022, with the last theme “Road ahead for next 25 years of Indian S&T” delivered by Dr Bhim Sarma, Associate Professor, Department of Mathematical Science & Astrophysics, Tezpur University, Assam held on dated 26th February 2022 along with demonstration of future technologies Robotics, Arduino Programming and solar energy by Subu Tarang, & Chau Nariani, Mentor, Innovation Hub, Science Centre. 

Valedictory function was attended by Chief Guest Dr Veenet Kumar Rawat, Scientist ‘E’& HOO, BSI, Arunachal Pradesh Regional Centre, GoI, Itanagar, CD Mungyak, Director cum Member Secretary, Bamang Apo, Joint Director, A.P. State Council for Science & Technology, Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh, Itanagar and officials from various participating departments.

In his address CD Mungyak, spoke, today’s world is technology driven which makes our life easier and its impacts are visible. We have all the information on our finger tip due to which we are losing the power of memory and analysis. He urges students to give attention towards robotics, AI, Arduino programming which not only increase our mathematical skill but also enhance our analytical mind. 

He also highlighted the theme of the last day “Road Ahead for Next 25 years of Indian S&T which is in line with the theme of National Science Day “Integrated Approach in Science & Technology for Sustainable Future”.

Dr Veenet Rawat in his address appreciated the efforts of the organizers, students and teachers to make the festival successful. This festival is successful in bringing the students attention towards the field of science and technology. While speaking on the importance and purpose of National Science Day, he highlighted the rich biodiversity of Arunachal Pradesh and urges students to explore nature as a scientist, observing the patterns of stars, leaves & branches of trees which are in a set of geometric patterns. 

The festival concludes with the distribution of Certificates, Memento and Prizes to the participating students and participating departments. Total 152 students participated in the competitions organised during the festival. The list of winners:
