Union Minister Health & FW chaired a review meeting of Covid 19

ITANAGAR, AUGUST 17 : The Union Minister for health & Family welfare Mansukh L.Mandaviya on Tuesday chaired a review meeting on Covid 19 pandemic, covid 19 vaccination and preparedness for third wave for the states of north east region at Guwahati.

The review meeting was attended with several top officials of the all the states of the region and power point presentation was done by all the states and shows their up-to-date activities related to the testing, tracing and treatment, Covid 19 vaccination progress, challenges in vaccinating and coverage due to topographical problems and weather condition. The day-long meeting was held at Administrative Staff College, Khanapara, Guwahati.

Dr.L.Jampa, SSO-IDSP, Public Health Specialist Dr.Dukam Taipodia & Assistant Resident Commissioner Guwahati Pranjit Sharma, ARC.

Dr.Jampa informed this daily over phone that all the sister states through power point presentation presented the Covid-19 situation analysis, Vaccination plan to increase the coverage with proper awareness in the uncover area, Preparedness for 3rd Wave (if and when it occurs).

We have sufficient stock of vaccination in the state and we may not face any shortage or scarcity now. Dr. Jampa said.

The union minister implored that NE states must continue with the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic and strive to make the North East free from the Covid pandemic soon and assured full support from the centre. The union minister also appreciated the ongoing efforts put in by all the NE states. Dr. Jampa added.

Health Minister of several states, advisor of health department, Principal secretary (Health), Mission Director NHM, Epidemiologist, public health specialist and senior officer from ministry of health & Family welfare, Government of India, New Delhi represented the review meeting.
