Tumke Bagra visits & inspected Mega food park site

Banderdewa, Feb 28: Minister of Industry Tumke Bagra, Health and family welfare minister Alo Libang visited and inspected the Mega food park on Sunday. Mega Food Park under Pradhan Mantri Kisan SAMPADA Yojana (PMKSY), Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI), Government of India is located at Dolikoto, Banderdewa will come up with 35 units of different food industries in 75 acres of land and the land was donated by the Lead Promoter of Mega Food Park Likha Maj. 

As per the guidelines of Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI), the state govt. is providing all necessary connectivity such as road, water, electricity etc.

In a press release Minister Bagra stated, “I had personally visited and inspected the Mega Food Park site and I am very much satisfied with the status of work going in the site which is quite appreciable. Construction of 4-Lane road measuring 4 Km in length, 50 acres of land development for setting up 35 units of different food industries has been completed by the Lead Promoter and supplying of electricity work is going on.

The Department of Industries, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh is constantly monitoring the work progress in the Mega Food Park site to complete it at the scheduled time.”

Later he sought support from the Department of Planning & Investment, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh may initiate to bring investors at Mega Food Park for setting up different food industries. 

“Once commissioned the Mega Food Park will also generate large numbers of direct and indirect employment to the youths of the state at the same time will give a major boost to the industry sector of this region. The farmers of the state will find a suitable place of marketing of their horticultural and agricultural products and as a result of which wastages of the perishable items will be reduced with increase in value addition. ” , Bagra added.  

Hage Tari secretary Industry, Taru Talo director Industry, Likha Suraj Director Town planning, Likha Teji Commissioner IMC, Yumlam Kaha Director SJETA also accompanied on the occasion.
