ITANAGAR, SEPT 8 : A commercial Truck loaded with sand coming from Naharlagun area hit the entry gate of the IG Park and completely damaged the entry gate at C-I Sector. Informed Itanagar PS OC, Inspector Phasang Simi.
OC Simi informed the media that a commercial Truck bearing registration No- AR 01 P 0860 which was loaded with sand for delivery for Polo Hospital at Ganga Market.
As per statement of the ill-fated vehicle Driver Basit Ali who is resident of A Sector, Naharlagun inform that the truck while on its way toward Ganga market and after passing through the diversion road of Upper C Sector got brake fail and directly went toward the C-I Sector of the IG Park road. The driver could not turn the vehicle after passing the Capital Electrical office near the capital auto agency and directly went toward IG park road and hit the entry gate and fully damaged the gate before hitting a two wheeler. Said OC.
After receipt of information, it was found that a portion of gate and iron railing of the road of IG Park has been completely damaged. The two wheeler is also completely damaged while the Truck also got badly damaged, the Scotty has been removed from the scene. Said OC Simi.
The IG Park authority has been asked to take care and we are also taking action on receipt of the FIR. The driver tried to save the pedestrians who were on morning walk in the early morning at around 4.45 AM there that’s why no one has been hurt in the mishap. OC Phasang Simi added.
