Sporting events of APP concluded with the Home Minister and other MLAs giving away prizes

ITANAGAR, The state level sporting events of Arunachal Pradesh Police (APP) has been concluded here at Battalion ground here at Chimpu. A host of lawmakers and senior officers of state police witnessed the closing ceremony and give away the prizes.

Speaking on the occasion, Home & Border Affairs Minister Bamang Felix has lauded the authority of state police for organizing such events which help in making a good health, team spirit and unity and integrity among the shoulders. Person in uniform are most disciplined and need to be in good health and such games and sports will not only help them to maintain fitness but also imbibe them to play for their unit, battalion and district where they are posted. From next year several games and sports events need to be included so that a maximum number of participants are included and will take part. He said.

Games and sports should be an integral part of the police department, the funds for organizing the games and sporting activities in bigger ways and will try to enhance the fund for the same. A guideline will be framed in the upcoming SP’s and commandant conference. He added.

The final match of the football was played between 4th IRBn and 3rd IRBn which was won by the 4th IRBn. The prizes for several games and sports were given away by the dignitaries.

Lawmaker Nyamar Karbak, Ojing Tasing, Hayeng Mangfi, Jikke Tako, Itanagar municipal Corporation (IMC) Mayor Tame Phasang, DGP R P Upadhyaya, IGP Apur Bitin, Chukhu Apa, Director Sports Tadar Apa were among other who give away the prizes to the winners of games and sporting events, firing events and others of the police department in last few days.
