SAA welcome and gives warm reception to the APAKA medal winners

ITANAGAR, JUNE 24 : The sports Authority of Arunachal (SAA) on Friday have given warm receptions and welcome the medal winners and participants of the KIO national karate championship held at Balewadi stadiums. Pune in Maharashtra from 16-19 June. 

Addressing the function held at SAA conference hall, Chimpu, SAA Vice Chairman Tana Sanjiv Tara said that the state government under the leadership of Chief Minister Pema Khandu and Youth Affairs Minister Mama Natung is giving much importance to the sport and youth development activities and several infrastructure are being taken up for promotion of games and sport in state and in district. Due to Covid 19 pandemic there were fund crunch and some proposed activities were not done smoothly. He said.

As a player one have to determine with a dedication and sincerity even if there are several challenges, we should always opt for alternate if one is not fit in a discipline he/she should always try to become a good professional as the sport is becoming like an industry. Sanjiv said.

If you are determine to serve the state with a commitment first become a fine gentleman and as a sport personality play for state at national and international level and even to Olympic and bring name and fame for yourself and laurel for  community, state and country. He said.

The way Pema Khandu government is taking care of sports and the way our state players are shining at all level and bringing medals the state government may give a surprise with a surplus budget. Sanjiv observed.

He emphasis the various sports association commitment to work hard to shine our players in the all level and assure to take up the issue with the state government 

AKF judge  Bulang Marik who also attended the tournament express happiness on the performances of the players in Maharashtra and bring highest medal form the region. He said that if the players are given all support they can even able to do much better. Marik said.

APAKA President Yarda Niki, Vice President Yora John, General Secretary John Bagang, Coach and team manager among other were present and share their views and suggestion and appeal the state government for providing support so as the players can attend several such national and international event in future. 

APAKA  President Niki and General Secretary to media said that the team win six medal all total this time which include Santi Sikom beg Gold (-50kg) under 21 category and Namsai Bagbi – Gold (-63kg) Cadet Category. 

Nani Leriak received Silver  (-61kg ) under 21 category, Michi Disi – silver (-47kg) cadet Category and Santi Sikom – Bronze (+18) Senior. Category.  

In bronze Jinke Naji (+54kg) Cadet category, 

Dugi Tell was the team coach and Boken Tatu accompanied as team manager and total of 47 member team has taken part in the national tournament and back on Friday.

Referee officials-Renshi  Bulang Marik,AKF Judge and Shihan Rakom Dugi,  National Referee A grade also takes part as official while President APAKA Renshi yarda Niki

GS Shihan John Bagang were part of the team. The APAKA added.

Earlier the layers and officials and other were given warm welcome at Naharlagun (Borum) railway station by several well-wishers and sport lover and family members.
