Riders of Arunachal Bullet Club rescues injured Crested Serpent Eagle from hunters

CHANGLANG, Feb 22: Riders of Arunachal Bullet Club (ABC) rescued an injured Crested Serpent Eagle while passing through Tutsa Heritage Centre in Changlang on Tuesday.

The riders handed over the eagle to the Veterinary department through the Additional deputy Commissioner (ADC) of Changlang.

It is learned that the eagle is currently undergoing treatment at the Veterinary hospital.
The injured eagle was reportedly shot down by hunters and found by the riders near the Tutsa Heritage Centre in Changlang.

“Some people (hunters) were taking the injured bird for food when the riders intercepted and requested them to give it to them so that the bird can be handed over to the appropriate authority for timely treatment and rehabilitation,” sources said.

One of the mottos of the Arunachal Bullet Club is to preserve nature and fauna as well as to discourage hunting in any form.
