ITANAGAR, MAY 22 : The PWD Capital Division ‘B’ on Monday has assured to fill up maximum numbers of potholes on Ganga-Papu Nallah road Via Jullang which shall began from Tuesday. Said a PWD.
The Capital Division ‘B’ Executive Engineer Techi Nabo inform that the department is equally concerned about the present condition of the road and has already asked the Construction agency to fill up all the potholes and level up all the uneven surfaces for providing smooth riding surface to the commuters. And we can expect the maintenance work to be started in a day or so.thw filling of potholes may take few days or weeks as rain god has began to shower the rain often. However public convinces will always be taken care off. Said EE Nabo.
The work “bypass road from NH-415 at Chimpu to NH-415 at Papu Nalah via Jullang with an estimated cost of Rs. 5088.00 lakhs “ has been approved by government and has also been sanctioned during the financial year 2022-23. The scope of work includes upgradation of the existing flexible pavement to a double lane standard, CC pavement. With complete overhauling of all the overlived existing CD Works. It will also include R/walls, Breast Wall at critical locations and entire stretch CC Drains.
The tender for the said work was floated immediately avert obtaining administrative approval and estimate sanction and the process took few months. He said.
After observing all formalities and with due approval from the goverment, the work was awarded to M/s Nigla Infrastructure and power projects private limited, Naharlagun. The stipulated date of completion of this project is march 2025, however , the department mulls complete the work ahead of the target date if the work take up smoothy without any obstruction and hindrances. Said Executive Engineer.
After observing all the codal process, The site has now been handed over to the construction agency. And agency as such at this hour is almost done with the process of mobilising all their man and machineries to site.
We can expect the work to start within few days.
It is expected that the original and approved work may also be started by agency soon. Added PWD Executive Engineer Techi Nabo.
Therefore, The department appeals the concern public, youths and the commuters of the Jollang Road to bear with the inconvenience at this juncture and cooperate with the department and the working agency for a better and good tomorrow.
