YUPIA, SEPTEMBER 14 : The Papum Pare district PRI leaders has refuted the allegation of fund mismanagement and corruption of the PRI fund for Papum Pare district of fourteenth finance commission (FFC) and fund for facemask and sanitizers.
Briefing the media, the Papum Pare ZPM Chukhu Bablu inform that may be due to misinformation and miscommunication many people may not have any awareness on the fund provided for the purpose of developmental activities and other purposes for the Papum Pare panchayati Raj and may be due to some section of people alleging of fund mismanagement and misappropriation and corruption which is not true. The leaders called the allegation of misappropriation of Covid- 19 and Panachayat’s funds by the state government as ‘false and baseless’ here at the conference hall of Panchayat department.
Bablu said that there is no iota of truth in allegations as forecast by individuals and few organisation in streets.
State government had purchased Mask, Sanitizer and gloves for the entire district of the state, which was then distributed to hospitals, schools and villages, administrative heads and others groups on the basis of requirement and population, he added.
Informing, the funds allocated to the Papumpare district by state government under Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) scheme from 14th & 15th Financial Commission is yet to be utilize and has been kept in the joint account of member secretary and Gram Panchayat, Bablu said, the question of misappropriation is does not arise.
Whereas officials from Panchayat department and leaders of the district are in the planning stage, how to implement the funds, then how come certain groups can allege the chief minister for mismanagement of funds, defended Bablu.
Stating misinformation to the masses carries a major impact which may indirectly hamper the process of developmental activities of the state, he also appealed organizations not to indulge in activities which would tarnish the image of the state.
With regards to power devolution to Panchayatiraj institution, Bablu said that the state government led by Chief Minister Pema Khandu has made spice model for panchayat and rural development on 28 subject and we have been elected by the people of state and we are working with a commitment for development of state with support and cooperation of all stake holders. Bablu added.
