ITANAGAR, AUGUST 16 : The panchayati Raj department has requested all heads of department , heads of offices and Deputy commissioners of district of state to dispose off the national flag after use in the celebration of Azadi ka amrit mahotsava and independence day celebration.
In a WT Message vide No- PR-NZ/88/2021/31 send to all the Deputy commissioners of districts, all heads of department, all heads of offices in various district of state to disposed off the national flag after use in celebration of azadi ka amrit mahotsav in proper way as per flag code of India 2002 and the prevention of insults to national honour Act. 1071. The order said.
The order signed by Director Panchayati Raj Tamune Miso said that the damaged and unsold flags may be returned. The order was added.
Meanwhile, all the deputy commissioner and district panchayat development officers (DPDO) has written to all ZPMs, GPCs, ADCs, SDOs, EACs, Cos, SPs, DDSEs, DHOs, DAOs, heads of office ie, EEs of RWD, PWD, PHED & WS, WRD, Power, Urban Development, CDPOs, Principals of Colleges and schools, DFOs, DFCSOs, DFDOs, DMOs etc to destroyed the national flag after the used during the celebration of azadi ka amrit mahotsav and independence day in privately as per flag code. One should not throw them on the ground and discard them in private keeping in mind the dignity of the national flag. The order said.
