NPP Holds Coordination Meeting with Elected Members and Contesting Candidates, Eyes Alliance Talks with BJP and NEDA

ITANAGAR, JUNE 6: The National People’s Party (NPP) convened a coordination meeting on Thursday, bringing together its five victorious MLAs along with contesting candidates to strategize the party’s future course of action.

NPP State President Thangwang Wangham, addressing the media, reiterated the party’s commitment to respecting the electoral mandate of the people of Arunachal Pradesh. “Though we contested in 20 assembly constituencies, securing only five seats, we accept the people’s verdict and remain dedicated to the welfare and development of our state,” Wangham stated.

The felicitation ceremony held at a city hotel not only honored elected MLAs and contesting candidates but also recognized the efforts of party leaders who dedicated their time to campaigning across various constituencies.

Highlighting the party’s alliance with the North East Democratic Alliance (NEDA) and its association with the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), Wangham expressed optimism about collaborating with the BJP for comprehensive development initiatives.

Wangham indicated plans to apprise national leaders of the prevailing political landscape and expressed readiness to engage in discussions with BJP, NDA, and NEDA leaders for further alliance matters.

“As elections conclude, it’s imperative for leaders to focus on serving their constituencies. We urge the ruling government to ensure fair distribution of funds for equitable development across districts,” Wangham emphasized.
