NPP announced candidature of former MLA Paknga Bage for 2024 assembly poll from 26th Dumporijo assembly constituency. 

ITANAGAR, Aug 10: In view of upcomming 2024 assembly election in state the  National People’s Party (NPP) unit on Thursday hs announced the candidature of Paknga Bage against at 26 ST Assembly constituencies Dumporijo in Upper Subansiri district for the state assembly election 2024.

Announcing the candidature here at Arunachal Press Club (APC), state president NPP and former minister Thangwang Wangham said, considering the immense contribution and demand of the public of Dumporijo assembly  constituency, the party high command has finalized Bage’s candidature.

Paknga Bage has already served the constituency during tenure from 2014 – 2019 as parliamentary secretary (Home), Wangham appealed people of the said constituency to support and elect Bage as their elected representative for state assembly election 2024.

Briefing about his objective to be a MLA of said area, Bage said he left the constituency where he could not complete his work as an MLA.

Creation of a separate district for the 26 ST assembly constituencies by people would be his priority and establishment of mini secretariat building for convenience of administrative service, he added.

Stating the constituency is reeling through various problems in terms of education, health facilities and unemployment etc, Bage said, he would be focusing on the railway connectivity to Daporijo via Baririjo to Dumporijo, self employment policy for unemployed youths and enhance the per capita income of farming community to encourage commercial farming.

Most importantly, he further assured to work on hydro power projects at Shee river to generate employment, Advance Landing Ground (ALG) at Belo to Kupurijo area and to construct national highway from Mib Geko (Arunachal) to Gergamukh (Assam).he said.

Several other works which are for the development of assembly constituency and district and welfare of the public would be taken up in phase manner and will continuously for the greater interest of the state as well. He added.
