Yupia March 22: Department of Agriculture and Horticulture, Yupia organized one day training-cum- Loan Disbursement Mela under Atma Nirbhar Krishi Yojana (ANKY) and Atma Nirbhar Bagwani Yojana(ANBY) Papum Pare District here at ZPC Hall today. Altogether 9 beneficiaries including Self Help Groups , progressive individual farmers were disbursed loans under ANKY and ANBY scheme.
Addressing the gathering the Deputy Commissioner Minga Sherpa, IAS congratulated the farmers and SHGs whose loan has been sanctioned under ANKY and ANBY and said that despite many issues and challenges the department of Agriculture and Horticulture in collaboration with Banks has been successful in implementation of very good ambitious schemes with so many advantages to make the people of Arunachal Atma Nirbhar(self reliant). He also informed that apart from Agri and Horti Govt has also allocated funds in additional schemes in other allied activities too and advised the farmers and SHGs to judiciously utilize the loan amount for beneficial works where it meant to be used to become self reliant and repay the loan on time.
He also asked the Agri and Horti departments to explore its potentials which are not covered under programme and encouraged interested people to come forward to avail the schemes. He also asked the participants to clear their doubts and apprehensions about the scheme during interaction hours with resource persons for its proper implementation. ZPC Chukhu Bablu who also present on the occasion spoke about receding trust factor in the banks said that it needs to improve and all stakeholders should put extra effort to make implementation of the scheme successful. He also called upon the participants to make best use of financial aids received from the scheme to become economically self dependent.
District Agriculture Officer Maze Piel expressed gratitude to SHGs and farmers for their overwhelming response and advised the farmers to not to misuse the loan amount for unnecessary works and use it in gainful activities and assured that the department would give all technical support needed in its proper implementation.
SBI Lead Bank Manager Ranjit Singh spoke on procedure of repayment by beneficiaries, SMS (Argon) KVK, SMS(PP) and SMS( Horti) gave training on cultivation practice of BuckWheat, OoBolu, Finger Millets, Integrated Pest Management and cultivation practice of Horticulture respectively. DHO Bullo Tama, NO ANBY, ANKY EAC Dr, N. Panggam, ADOs, HDOs, Officials, Self Help Groups and progressive farmers attended the training.
