Nakap Nalo and Laisam Simai visited and inspected several tourism related assets in Lower Dibang valley district

DAMBUK, Sep 3: The Tourism, Transport & CA Minister Nakap Nalo along with Advisor Tourism Laisam Simai on Friday visited various tourism related assets of the Lower Dibang Valley district. The visit is for the tourism potential and development of infrastructure of the department.

The minister is on a tour to eastern Arunachal. Dambukh MLA Gum Tayeng, secretary tourism Sadhana Deori and director tourism Abu Tayeng accompanied the minister.

Talking to the media tourism minister said the department is trying to revive all the assets which have not been used till now. “There are many infrastructures which are lying unused all over the state. We are working out with district administration and looking for ways to put them into use. In some instances, we are leasing them and in some we are giving them for use by the other government departments,” said minister Nalo. He said the state government has a big plan to push the tourism sector but Covid 19 has hit the tourism sector and all the economic development activities for the last two years.

The advisor to tourism Laisam Simai informed that various tourism potentials of LDV are being explored. He said the district has potential for adventure tourism including the hospitality industry.

The minister will visit Lohit and Namsai districts too.

DC LDC, SP and other heads of department of the district accompanied the minister to the tourism project and JIa water supply project and adventure tourism spot and central festival celebration ground.
