In a condolence message, the minister Nakap Nalo said that it’s a shock on hearing the demise of Kegio Mengniya who was serving as an Assistant Director of Land Management Department, he said.
‘Late Kegio Mengniya was inhabitant of Village-Dabu in Upper Subansiri District. He had joined at the Deputy Commissioner’s office, Daporijo in the year 1982 as Supervisor Kanungo and served the department for almost 40 years. He was very honest and amiable person. He said.
‘The department has lost a valuable officer and it will be difficult for the department to fill up the vacuum created by his untimely death. He said.
‘My sincere condolences to the bereaved family and also praying for peaceful journey of departed soul. May God give the family members enough serenity and peace to cope with his absence here on earth’. Nalo added.
Alumni Association GHSS Daporijo has also condoled the sudden death of Kegio Mengnia S/o Lt. Take Mengnia born on 2nd January 1963 who died on 20th June at his residence Daporijo after prolong sickness.
Dosh Dasi, Chairman, Alumni Association GHSS Daporijo in a condolence meaage said that Late Mengnia was also renowned player of the Volleyball who leads the Upper Subansiri Volleyball team as captain and represent the state in many championship events during this students days and even in later stage. .
Late Kegio Mengnia joined the Govt. service in 1982 as Super Kanaungo (S.K) in Land Management Department under the establishment of Deputy Commissioner, Upper Subansiri District. Later he was promoted to Surveyor in 2000 again promoted to Plan Tabular in 2004 and again promoted as Assistant Director in 2006 and posted under Directorate of Land Management. Before joining to Land Management Department, he was Assistant Teacher, Govt. Primary School Siga in the year 1982. The release added.
