Kra Daadi DC appealed to the public not to create obstruction in TAH construction

ITANAGAR, Jun 13: The Kra Daadi Deputy Commissioner Higio Tala has recently appealed to the general public and the commuters not to create any types of hindrance due to which the work progress may get delayed and warned if anyone found creating obstruction will be dealt with iron hands.

The work progress went slow due to the lack of public cooperation from all sides and if anyone found obstructing the work progress on Joram-Koloriang (Trans Arunachal Highway) will be dealt with iron hand. DC added.

The Public Relation Officer (PRO) of Package-IV, Dindo T informed that few vested interests are repeatedly thrashing laborers, creating more problems in the progress of the work and completion of road stretch.

He said, unless the public supports the workers, the road can’t be completed in time. Every day thrashing of workers has led many of the laborers to return back. He added.

“We face immense problem in bringing labour at this time of Covid pandemic,” he said, informing on last Friday, DPM of the project was thrashed for which a complaint has been lodged.

He said the manpower is also managed properly and we are trying our best effort so that the commuters do not face much problem crossing the area. However, due to the continuous rainfall during monsoon, there were few problems in easy movement.

He said within the stretch of Package-IV, almost half kilometer gravel wall has been constructed to avoid any kind of landslide, thereby avoiding hindrance in vehicular movement
“We have sufficient manpower and machinery, which works every day to clear the road as well,” he said, adding that there is also a bypass in the area to avoid any problem while crossing.

If the works continue at full pace without any hindrance and good weather  the stretch will be completed in two years, he added.
Meanwhile, Sangram Gram Panchayat Chairperson (GPC) Takam Chasuk appealed to refrain from any activity which impacts the completion of work. She said there have been many reports that the laborers are being thrashed, which should be avoided for the greater interest of the district.

She appeals to the public to also understand the working conditions of the laborers,” she added.
