Khandu inspected NH-415 from Papu nallah to Banderdewa

ITANAGAR, SEPT 6 : Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Monday early morning visited the stretch of National Highway-415 from Pau nallah to Banderdewa and take stock of the present condition in view of continuous demand for repairing and maintenance of the road for the public convenient.

Khandu was accompanied by PWD Advisor Phurpa Tsering, senior officer of state government, chief Engineer (Highway) S Sumyan, Capital DC Talo Potom, IMC Mayor Tame Phassang, SP Jimmy Chiram and others. The team visited all the stretch and interacted with the officer at various locations at starting and ending point of both Package B and C from Papu nallah to Banderdewa checkgate.

Khandu briefing the media at underpass construction venue said that we have carried out  survey of the existing road condition of package B (11.3km) and package C (7.3km) of Itanagar – Banderdewa four lane highway project (NH415) and interacted with the officers and officials for early starting of the work. .

Tender process for both package B and C has been completed and the work for Package C will commence soon. Till work begins, road maintenance will continue for hassle-free vehicular movement. The Package B stretch is handed over to the executing agency by the administration and appointed date is given. He said.

Meanwhile I urge the people to bear with few inconveniences and extend their full support and cooperation for completion of the four lane highway.

There would be a fly over bridge in the Naharlagun township in Package B while a 1.1km viaduct over Dikrong river will be constructed which would be a beautiful one. The viaduct will bypass the landslide prone area at Kharsingsa. Once completed, an incredible sight awaits. He said.

One all the stretch is complete the commuter may enjoy an amazing driving experience along the four-lane highway at the heart of the Itanagar capital city, He said.

The underpass at bank-tinali in Itanagar is nearing completion. The underpass is part of the package A of Itanagar-Banderdewa four lane highway. Upon completion, it will ease the endless cycle of traffic congestion.  On request of the denizens we will ensure that the electrification on four lane roads in Chimpu area is also taken up. He informed.
