ITANAGAR, AUG 2 ; The Itanagar planning authority (IPA) and local planning authority (LPA) meeting held 1st time in city under the chairmanship of Capital DC Talo Potom with Local MLA Techi Kaso, IMC Mayor Tame Phasang, Papum Pare ZPM Nabam Yakum, Hods of line department
Speaking to media, DC Capital said inform that today was the 1st meeting of local planning authority with all the Hods of line department and various issues were discussed related to the development of Itanagar capital complex and Itanagar capital region. Since today was the 1st meeting so role and responsibilities of various department were also discussed. He said.
It was also discussed that all line department has discussed to coordinate each other’s so that nay scheme and development projects are not overlapped. He said.
DC further said that the survey for ropeway is under way form Itanagar H Sector to Gompa to Naharlagun to Borum upto Railway station. The ropeway may enhance tourism potential in capital as well give additional way without going through road and facing traffic problems. Other scheme like of better connectivity form railway station, airport and ISBT with capital. He added.
Local MLA Techi Kaso inform that it was a healthy meeting for the 1st time of the local planning authority and I have suggested to improve t road sector, power supply, water supply to general public without any hindrances. Traffic regulation and for better living of all denizens the welfare schemes should not be overlapped and all offiers and official need to coordinated each toher for a better planning keeping in view for future of more than 10-20 years. He said.
I have also suggested for viaduct bridge all along the Senki river,Pacin river and Dikrong river giving ample space for landing to all the maijor area like of Doimukh, Nirjuli, Borum, Naharlagun, Jully and to Chandanagar which may work as bypass road where compensation issue may also not arise. I have also suggested the officer to first learn the general guidelines and important schemes for better planning of capital complex for ease fo living of denizens. Added. Local MLA Kaso.
IMC Mayor Tame Phasang also take part in the meeting and suggested various issues and advice officer to work in better coordination so as to take up the planning process smoothly.
Mayor said that we discuses about the proper implementation of the Itanagar Master Plan (MP), Local Plan Area (LAP), and Town Planning Schemes (TPS). I have tabled various issues related to the development of the capital region and other inconvenience faced by the denizens. The meeting focused on urban development, housing, land allocation, environmental conservation, traffic management, public services, and heritage preservation. Waste management was also discussed to promote cleanliness and sanitation. He said.
I also advice and shared for sustainable, inclusive, and vibrant capital region that meets the residents’ aspirations while preserving its unique identity of state capital.
All Hods from Urban development, PWD, Power, PHED, TRIHMS, DPDO, Land management and other shared their views and suggestion for better planning in future for better place to live in. the next meeting of the LPA may witness more better story to see form all HoDs and leaders as well administrative officer based on the needs of the people and state capital development.
