International Women’s Day was observed by District Police, APP, Lower Subansiri District, Ziro in a unique manner. Miss Tage Tunia, A Student from Saint Claret College, Ziro was called on at SP Chamber Ziro and was allowed to sit on SP Chair as a mark of respect to Women Empowerment.
Miss Tunia is a Mass Communication Student and Last Exam Topper of her college. Later She was interacted with SP Ziro, IPS Harsh Indora, DySP Ziro Tasi Darang and other Police Officers. She was let acquainted with how Policing are function.
The day was also marked with organization of One Day Health Checkup of Police personnel organised by District Police, Lower Subansiri in Collaboration with District Medical Officer and Medical Staffs of Gyati Taka General Hospital Ziro. More than 100 security personnel availed the benefits.
In the afternoon session SP Madam, who herself is an IAS officer and has done degree in MBBS, took sensitisation session about health and hygiene of Women security personnel and wives of security personnel.
Later, with hosting of Lunch, the program was concluded in befitting manner.
