ITANAGAR, AUG 27 : The newly appointed Highway zone chief engineer Nani Robin who assume his office on August 1st has carried out marathon inspection to several roads in various parts of state form August 18 to 27.
Er Robin an experienced engineer of state PWD department who assume the office of the Highway zone on August 1st began his marathon inspection of various roads in almost fifteen district of state to take stock of present situation and first hand information and status of roads in state.
Speaking to this daily, CE Robin said that I began my systematic work with my marathon inspection carried out in the state and this inspection have made me to get lots of knowledge of the present status and technical position as well as opinion of the officers concerned of the various roads. He said.
Some of roads are under construction while some are under maintenance periods and inspection was necessary for me to know about its present condition so that what has to be done should be known in time so as the scope of further progress can be taken up. Said Highway CE Nani Robin.
I began with the inspection on August 18 form Papu-Yupia-Hoj-Potin-Ziro, From Ziro to Daporijo on way inspected the Package III, IV, V following the road to Daporijo. Also over see the work progress of Tamin bridge in Kamle district. Package-VI, VII, VIII & IX to Basar-Aalo-Pangging-Pasighat was inspected.
Inspected a under construction bridge at Ribi Nallah at 14 KM point on Pasighat-Maryiang –Yingkiong road. He said.
Visited and inspected the Pasighat-Mebo-Dambuk-Bomjir road to Roing which is under maintenance. Also inspected the Roing-Santipur-Meka road strengthening works 19.5 KM. Said CE Highway.
After Roing I went to Digaru-Choukham and see the flood mitigation site and went to Namsai and halted at Namsai. After Namsai inspected the Namsai Dirak road where strengthening works is going on. He said.
On my next leg I went to Miao and inspected the Kharsang-Maio-Vijayanagar road which is a new propose under frontier highway and back to Jairampur. From there I went upto Phangchau pass which is under maintenance period. After Jairmanpur I went to Changlang via Lalpur-Manmao which is under construction. Later to Deomali to Khonsa via Hukanjuri. The Khonsa-Tissa-Longding road was also inspected and back to Itanagar Via Kanubari. He said.
This was an important inspection where all the officers from various division also accompanid and brief of the present and past history of the road and further proposal if any. The officers and officials working on ground also listened to several advice and advisory through which the stye of working can be upgraded and enhanced. He said.
I have issued several advisory and direction to the executive engineers, Asstiant engineers and other officer and executing agency people who are on the ground working for the development of state and to provide smooth road connectivity. Added Highway CE Nani Robin. .
