Govt to discuss all the issues and grievances of state artists for dev of culture and music: Taba Tedir

ITANAGAR, FEB 2: The state government under the leadership of young chief minister Pema Khandu is giving due attention to resolve the issues and genuine grievances of the state artist community for promotion of culture and music in the state. informed cultural affairs & Department of Indigenous affairs Minister Tabe Tedir to the media.

Tedir was addressing the launching ceremony of a Hindi music video album “Humara Arunachal ” on Wednesday afternoon at DK Convention centre in presence of a host of dignitaries attached to films, music and culture. RWD Executive Engineer of Sagalee Golo Tara attended the function as guest of honour and Director Printing Charu Tajuk attended the function as special guest. Legendary singers of the state include Bengia Hemanto, JB Nabam, Taba Yall Nabam, Bengia Tabb, Pebi Ado Bamang and others.

Tedir said that we have received a memorandum from the Arunachal Artist forum (AAF) Chairman Takam Dado Tallom and the executive members from music and culture have met me and apprised me of their grievances. The state government under the leadership of Chief Minister Pema Khandu has been giving due attention to music and culture and supporting several programmes in state for promotion of culture and music related issues which have been liked by the masses.  

We hope that our artists and singers also have lots of talents and there is a huge scope of promotion of music, culture in the state and compete with the artists of other states. We will sit and discuss the issue and will take it up at the highest level.

Tedir lauded the album by Tania Bendu produced by Likha Tara and said that all the songs in the video album are in hindi and beautifully prepared and appreciated the crew members and the team of Bendu production.

Such production will go a long way to promote the music and culture in the state and urge upon the state artist to come forward and make such albums, videos and films on all the issues which reach up to national and international platforms and win laurels for the state and artist concerned.  

The minister Tedir thanks the organizers including the LIkha Tara for beautifully arranging the programme where dozens of state artists have gathered and also been felicitated.

The Arunachal Artist Forum (AAF) Chairman Takam Dado Tallom inform that we have submitted six point charter of demand to the state government and discussed with the cultural affairs minister Taba Tedir and we have few round of discussion on the issue and hope that the issue are genuine issue in the interest of state artist community who are in dire need of such support from the state government.

The genuine grievances submitted to the state government which include grant in aid, pension/incentive to legendary artist, establishment of training institute, renaming of district community hall in the names of legendary artist, 5 % job reservation for Arunachal artist in government job and declaration of AAF foundation day as state calendar event. AAF Chairman added.
