LONGDING, JULY 10 : The government of India is committed for development of North East under Act East Policy and we see a sea change in all sector including connectivity, communication, transportation, education, Human resources, Agri-Horti, Health etc. Said Union Minister of state for Education Dr. Subhas Sarkar.
Sarkar was speaking to media on his arrival at Longding for three day maiden visit to eastern part of state including Longding and Tirap district. Sarkar Said that earlier there was Look East policy but after the government under the Narendra Modi comes in 2014 the union government has started with act East policy and it is very much effective. In compare to earlier days we can witness a sea change under the able leadership of Narendra Modi as Prime Minister. Development has taken place in all sector and it can be witness everywhere and the North East is being given priority at par with other parts of country. MoS said.
All infrastructural development in all sector are taking place and equally the NE region is developing. He said.
“I am here for three days and will visit several part of Tirap and Longding district, will meet officers and official of various department and will discuss with them about the working style and know about the schemes and policy of government implementation on ground and to proper distribution of several sponsored schemes of GOI to the much needed beneficiaries, I will also meet the party workers and leaders and discuses about the awareness on several party porgrammes and policy in these three days’. Said MoS Sarkar. .
Minister RWD, Science & Technology Honchun Ngandam, Longding local MLA Tanpho Wangnaw, Jairampur MLA Laisam Simai, Longing DC Bani Lego, SP VHM Meena, senior officers, HoD of the district, PRI leaders led by ZPC Lohpong Wangham, BJP Party leader led by district president Pankhu Wangsu among others were present during the reception of the minister at circuit house here at Longding.
BJP Spokesperson and state convener (Lok Sabha pravas yojna) Dominic Tadar, Vice President Nani Lagi, Convener (Training cell and Pravari Lok sabha pravas yojna) Vishal P Nabam accompanied the union minister.
