NAHARLAGUN, MAY 29 ; The ‘Friends for Life’ (NGO) organized a blood donation camp with health awareness camp here at Tomo Riba Institute of Health & Medical Science (TRIHMS) with a mission to motivate others.
FFL, Chairperson, Toku Natung Nabam inform the press that the NGO is a basically functioned by the women groups and have a wide range of experience in various field and basically to motivate the worsens folk in self reliance and self sustainability with a dignity in society. we have been working in the field of social works for several years and myself is also associating with the blood donation and donated several times to the needy people during the emergency period. She said.
The covid 19 pandemic has given lesson the human being to take care of ourselves even if one is in urgency or otherwise. There is acute need of blood in the hospitals in state and due to lockdown for several weeks the donors are unable to come forward to donate blood in the hospitals and it has been observed that there are urgent need of blood, in such a situation we have tried and more and forty volunteers have reached out to the hospital and are trying to donate their valuable blood to someone who are in dire need to save the life and humanity. She added.
As per information 15 units of blood were donated on the occasion.
