Former MLA Pani Taram attended the Gumkum Gumpa festival

ITANAGAR, Apr 25 : The former Lawmaker Pani Taram on Tuesday has attended the closing ceremony of weeklong Gumkum Gumpa festival Puroik community at Koloriang the district headquarter of Kurung Kumey district. He appeal the people to work for preservation of aged old cultural heritage.

The five days Gumkum Gumpa festival celebration with effect from April 20th and concluded on April 25th with several programmes including the cultural activates, sporting and literary activities. The games and sports which include the traditional games and others games and sports like football, volleyball, tug of war etc.

The inaugural ceremony was graced senor citizen and social worker Bengia Augung alongwith host of dignitaries including officers, PRI leaders and social workers and public leaders.

Addressing the closing ceremony the former Lawmaker Pani Taram lauded the organising committee for organizing the festival in big way wherein large numbers of people has taken part in weeklong celebration.

Taram has appeal the people to maintain the aged old cultural heritage and traditional value of Puroik community of state. He also ask the members to avail benefits of hundreds of centrally and state sponsored schemes for the welfare of people and development of area. Added former MLA Taram.
