CHIMPU, JULY 26 : The flag-in ceremony of team Arunachal climbers in IMF North East zone sports climbing championship-2022 under the banner of Bimal Chandra goshwami memorial organized by Assam sport climbing competition and Assam mountaineering association in collaboration with the Indian institute of entrepreneurship (IIE) at IIE Campus, Lalmati, Guwahati from July 22nd to 24th.
The flagin ceremony was held at Sports authority of Arunachal (SAA) office campus at Chimpu which was attended by several officers and official of SAA and others.
All most all the states of region including Sikkim takes part in the championship and 98 climbers competed in the completion.
Team Arunachal stand 2nd in the medal Talley with 2 gold, 5 silver and 3 bronze behind Manipur with a total of 19 points.
Sports Authority of Arunachal (SAA) Vice Chairman Sanjeev Tana Tara on the occasion of flag in ceremony lauded the players and participant those who win and also to those who take part in the competition. He motivated the young players and emphasis for better training and maintaining of good health and strong attachment with games and sport to become a good sports players of state and wish them to reached to the national and international level and bring laurel for the state and nation.
He assured all support of SAA and will apprise sports department for the promotion of games and sports in state by the concentrated support by 52 sports organization of state in various sports discipline.
Arunachal Sports climbing association honorary president Sikka Gapak who was present on the occasion brief the activities of the organization and hope that the youths of state who are enthusiasm and energetic may lead the sports and games and bring laurel for state. He assured better training and coach to the players for next level of competition.
The Young everester Tagit Sorang who was the team manager spoke on training, grooming and competition. He hope that with this the players will take up training with sincerity and devote themselves so that they can play at national and international level competition.
All the winners and participants were felicitated and certificate were given away on the occasion.
