Education Minister appeal all former students to look back and give back to society

ITANAGAR, JUNE 20 : The Education & Indigenous and cultural affairs Department Minister Taba Tedir on Monday has appeal all the former students of respective schools, college and university to look back and give back or if possible pay to back to society.

Tedir was addressing the students, teaching faculty and officers and officials of the education department at Government Higher Secondary school in the state capital while inaugurating a newly constructed ROstrum and renovated school building and high density water purifier system. Tedir was accompanied by Capital Deputy Commissioner Talo Potom, Director School Education Marken Kadu, DDSE Capital ST Zara and others.

Addressing the function here at the school conference hall,Tedir said that it is an appreciating trend that the Capital DC Talo Potom has put his tireless effort in renovation of the entire school campus and taking keen interest in the educational sector. Several infrastructure of the school and its campus has also been renovated and is praise worthy. Said Tedir.

The quality of education needs to be increased and upgraded and the department has been doing its best effort with implementation of pre-board system, though the result of class X and XII were detracting in previously but in last year the improving trend has shown is a good sign. The infrastructure of the schools are required to be improved including the transfer and posting policy need to be implemented, new education policy implementation, citizens participation in education system by way of look back/pay back, training of teachers and closing down of all the zero enrolment school and utilisation of infrastructure properly of the closed down schools. He said.

The present government led by Chief Minister Pema Khandu is keen interest in improvement of education system and I’m trying my best efforts in improving the education scenario of the state and for which I have made extensive touring in all the district right from Longding to Tawang and have made plan for year wise for next three years, five years and then years respectively and Iam hopeful that the education system will improve as well as education scenario will increased instate like of the New Delhi where the budget support has been increased to manifold. The Education Minister said.

He had appealed to the students to respect their teacher, inculcate discipline, be punctual and say ‘No to Drugs’. Constitute and implement the role of alumni in every school and urged them to play a vital role in the infrastructural and academic development. He emphasis students and youth playing games and sport and excel in respective field. From next session no money and payment will be paid to the students community but all the payment for scholarship, stipend and other payment will directly goes to their account of respective students and requested the students to open an account in backs without any delay. Tedir said.

The Education Minister appeal both the teaching community and students community to utilize the portal of education for the purpose of betterment of education system and improvement of education scenario of state and anyone can even file com0oain and advice and suggestion in respect of development in state. 

The minister further assure to take up the two point memorandum for construction of borewell and boundary around the school playground the RE or next budget estimate for the department .

The Capital Deputy Commissioner Talo Potom attending the function as guest of honour said that being the deputy commissioner and Chairman of the school development and managing committee I have decided and tried my best with resources and manpower and support from others in renovating the entire school campus and its infrastructure since February last. Due to weather conditions the work could not be completed and it will be  completed soon. He said.

The rostrum has been constructed by education department at an estimated cost of around 53.34 lakh, the renovation and other infrastructure development incurred around 25 lakhs and for furniture and other equipment it has been incurred around 25 lakhs and it is being managed through untied fund other sources. He said.

The DC has presented the detailed status of all the schools of ICR with powerpoint presentation and a pen drive was handed over to the Education Minister for further perusal.
