Naharlagun, May 31: Doimukh Police recovers 2 stolen Apple MacBook and 6 nos of Gas Cylinders on Tuesday. Official sources informed.
In DMK PS Case No. 10/22, U/S 457/380/411 IPC, Gollo Tallam who is a habitual offender was arrested and interrogated. 5(five) nos. of stolen gas cylinders were recovered from him. On further interrogation, he disclosed that he along with his accomplice Nabam Ako had stolen 2 laptop from RGU and sold them to one Madhu Barua from Assam. Accordingly, Nabam Ako was also arrested. He is also a habitual offender.
On being led by Gollo Tallam, the Doimukh Police team lead by SI Balkar Singh went to Harmutty but it was found that Madhu Barua was already lodged in District Jail, North Lakhimpur. Later on, he was taken from Lakhimpur jail on a production warrant and on being led by him, both the stolen laptop( Apple MacBook) were recovered.
SP Papumpare appeals the public not to receive any stolen property as it is illegal and punishable offence.
