DNGC forges historic partnership with IISS and NIELIT

Dera Natung Government College, Itanagar, created history yesterday by signing not one but two groundbreaking Memorandum of Understanding. The MoUs were signed with the Indian Institute of Studies and Services (IISS) and the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT).

The IISS is a non-profit organisation registered under the Government of India and is committed to promoting education, human rights, and free journalism. The MoU between DNGC and IISS covers several important areas, including the exchange of research information, joint organization of seminars and conferences, and value-added courses both physical and online. The agreement was signed by Dr. M. Q. Khan, Principal of DNGC, and Dr. Sanya Khan, Director of IISS, New Delhi in the witness of Mr. Nending Ommo, former Head of English Department.

The second MoU was signed between the Director in-charge of NIELIT, Mr. Rinto Das, and Dr. M. Q. Khan, Principal of DNGC. This agreement covers funding for computers in labs and classrooms, training programs, support for placement facilities, and sharing library resources. Both parties entered into 11 points MoU, which is expected to bolster the college’s academic growth and help it achieve NAAC accreditation.

Speaking about the MoUs, Dr. Khan expressed his delight at the signing, saying that they would significantly enhance the college’s scope for academic growth. He also said that these MoUs are essential for the college to achieve its academic goals and to improve the overall student experience. Mr. Khan also informed that NIELIT has been collaborating with DNGC for past several years and from the first week of August two certificate courses will be introduced, Certificate Course in Soft Skill and Communicative English and Certificate Course in Bio informatics.

The signing of these two MoUs marks a significant milestone for DNGC, Itanagar, and is a testament to the hard work and dedication of its staff and students. With the support of the IISS and NIELIT, the college is poised to achieve even greater heights and cement its position as a leading institution of higher education.
