CRPF 138 Bn carried out awareness rally in city streets on serious impact of drug abuse among public and children and family

ITANAGAR, JUNE 26 : The CRPF 138 Bn based at senikview here in the city has carried out awareness rally in city streets on serious impact of drug abuse among public and children and family. The jawans holding banners, posters and leaflets and shouted slogans against drug.

The 138 Bn CRPF has also joined th eerst of international community in celebrating the ‘World Drug Day’ on the theme of Addressing drug challenges in health and humanitarian crises and Share Drug Facts, Save Lives”at senkiview, 

Commandant-138 Bn CRPF Harvinder Singh Kales, Commandant has delivered brief on the ill effect and serious consequences of the drug on human life specially the youths who are our future. The importance of the day was briefed the personnels and school going children’s who also take part in the rally in city street. 

The commandant inform that the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking or World Drug Day is marked on 26th June every year to strengthen action and cooperation in achieving a world free of drug abuse.  And each year, individuals like yourself, entire communities, and various organizations all over the world join in to observe World Drug Day to help raise awareness of the major problem that illicit drugs poses to society. 

‘Together, we can tackle the world drug problem’, and appeal all to join hands in fight against the drugs which is damaging the health as well as economy of family, community and society. The commandant added.

In order to create awareness about the serious impact of drug abuse among public and children and to seek international support to fight it out, An Awareness Rally has conducted from 138 Bn, CRPF, HQr, Senkiview, to Indira Gandhi Park was carried out. 

138 Bn Second-in-Command Sukhvir Singh, Dy. Commandant Vedpal Singh, Officers of 138 Bn CRPF Jawans and children of 138 Bn participated in the Rally.
