Capital Police arrested 3 habitual thefts, recovered stolen items

Naharlagun, Jan 12: Capital police arrested 3 habitual thieves and recovered stolen items. 

Capital police informed in a release, on 09/01/23 an FIR was received from Rubu Hangu R/o Dokum colony, Itanagar to the effect that, on 24/12/23 an unknown accused entered into complainant’s house located at Dokum colony,  ITA and stolen away high end camera, printer, gas cylinder, clothes  and  valued  Rs. 2 lakhs  and  also cash Rs. 50, 000/- from Almirah.  Consequent upon receipt of the FIR, register the case vide ITA PS Case no. 08/23 u/s 380 IPC.  

    During the investigation police team comprised Insp Yangfo OC PS ITA,  Insp T. Tasso, SI. A K Jha (IO of the case), HC Kamgo, Ct N. Chakum, Ct Lucky Tacho, Ct Anil Singh and Ct Sandeep Yadav  led by SDPO Itanager K. Sikom under close supervision of i/c SP Capital Thutan Jamba nabbed three habitual offenders namely Chaka Tayo (age 19 yrs) s/o Lt Chaka Baro, Ngurang Taka (age 19 years) s/o Lt Ngurang kagung and Peter Kamdak (age 19 yrs ) s/o Lt. Tomar Kamdak of near Nyokum Lapang, Itanagar by engaging reliable sources and using technical devices. Later they have admitted their guilt and on being lead and shown by the said accused, the following stolen items have been recovered from their possession; 01 refrigerator, 01 Tempo, 01 bike, 06 Gas Cylinder, 01 Printer, 01 Sony PlayStation 2, 01 mobile and other items which were used to break open the door lock and godrej, the release said. 

     It is pertinent to mention here that earlier also accused Ngurang Taka was charge-sheeted in 6 different cases such as ITA PS C/no. 332/2020 u/s 454/380 IPC, ITA PS C/no. 013/2021 u/s 380 IPC, ITA PS C/no. 159/2021 u/s 392/34 IPC, ITA PS C/no. 181/2021 u/s 379/34 IPC, ITA PS C/no. 185/2021 u/s 380/34 IPC and  ITA PS C/no.  295/2021 u/s 224/34 IPC. The release informed. 

    Further, SP Capital requested the denizens to keep sharp vigil on such anti-social elements as the cases of house theft burglary is on a rise and help police in nabbing such criminals. And for any immediate assistance please Dial ‘112’.
