ITANAGAR, AUGUST 8 : The capital Deputy commissioner Talo Potom has directed the officers and officials of the power department to ensure the street light switches off during the day.
In an order, Capital Complex Deputy commissioner Talo Potom issued today wide order no-DC/ICR/JUD-01/2021 dated August 8 said that the street light are kept on even during day hours at various location of the Itanagar capital Complex which is not only affect the conservation of energy but also causes environmental impact. Therefore such activities need to be taken care by the officers and officials of the department to avoid the wastage of power supply. The order said.
The DC further directed the executive Engineer (E) capital electrical division (CED) and Naharlagun electrical division (NED) to ensure that the streetlights are switched off during day time to conserve energy.
