Capital administration declared three more temporary vaccination center in capital complex


ITANAGAR, MAY 07: The capital administration has declared three more temporary  vaccination centers in the capital complex to speed up the vaccination drive in the state. informed  Capital Deputy Commissioner Talo Potom.

Potom informed that there is a need for more vaccination centers in the Itanagar Capital Complex region to combat the deadly virus COVID-19. After the recommendation of  district Medical Officer, Itanagar Capital Complex vide his letter No.DMO/ICC/COVID VAC/20-21, dated 7th April, 2021 and has  recommended some schools within the Itanagar Capital Region for setting up of COVID vaccination centers and it was also necessary to speed up the vaccination drive. He said.

Therefore in the interest of public health services and as per section  34 (a) of the Disaster Management Act, 2005 few schools of capital complex have been requisitioned for setting up of temporary COVID vaccination centers by the District Medical Officer with immediate effect. He said.

The Govt. Middle School, Lekhi  Lekhi,  Govt. Hr. Sec. School, Itanagar   ESS sector near Office of Directorate of Hr. Education and  Govt. Middle School, Niti vihar Niti Vihar, Itanagar has been declared as temporary vaccination centers.

 Meanwhile, Capital DMO Dr. Mandip Perme inform that apart of these three temporary vaccination centre declared on Friday the other six vaccination centre are already functioning smoothly which include Urban PHC Chimpu, RK Mission Hospital, UPHC Itafort at Bank TInali, TRIHMS Naharlagun, UPHC Rakap Colony,  Karsingsa PHC etc. if necessary more such centre will also be announced and made functional on temporary basis as and when required keeping in view the drive. Dr. Perme added.
