Capital admin organise one day awareness camp on Widow welfare.

NAHARLAGUN, Apr 15 : The Itanagar capital complex district administration on Saturday organised one day camp on widow welfare and initiatives here at Oju Mission School, Papu nallah which witness heavy turnout.

The day long camp on “Widow welfare initiatives” was organize to help the widows of in and around capital complex to link them with various Central/State sponsored schemes.The camp was organised by District Administration Capital Itanagar in collaboration with Oju Welfare Association at Oju Mission School,Papu Nallah,Naharlagun.

The Capital Deputy commissioner Talo Potom who attended the camp interacted the widows and person accompanied with them and aware them of various central and state sponsored scheme for the welfare of much needy section and general public as a whole.

DC Potom inform that as per record 17 persons has submitted the filled up form for facility of health department, 192 persons has filled up form for facility and benefit under ICDS programme for Indira Gandhi National Widow Pension:, 17.person has submitted filled up form for Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension,  He said.
With regards to disability Pension Benefits 5 person has filled up forms, 10 person has filled up form under department of Education for Chief Minister Vidya Scheme while 26 person has applied for ration card under district food and civil supply and 35 person has been enrolled and registered for Aadhar. Said DC Potom.
Such types of awareness programme are necessary it is good that lots of people have come up and attended the awareness programme which will help the needy people to avail the benefit and facility at the door step. Added DC Talo Potom.

Oju Welfare association Chairperson Anya Rata and other administrative officers, HoDs and officers of various department of capital district administration attended the camp.
