Arunachal Olympic Association Executive Committee meeting discuss various issues for promotion of games and sports in state

There are several opportunities and avenues for promotion of games and sports and at the same time there are several challenges too and we as an Alex organisation discuss all core issues. This is the 1st meeting under his supervision and we shall draw minutes and resolution and also workout plan and policy for next four years, eight years and next ten years so that the several games and sports get due opportunity and some also get priority as per feasibility. He said.
We are working out an advisory plan which would be sent to the state government, Sports and Youth affairs Ministry and Indian Olympic Association for support and guidance and consideration and support. He said.

Earlier there may be lack of infrastructure in the sports sector but slowly the infrastructure in the state are also increasing and several multipurpose sports stadiums in various districts and capital areas are coming up and soon those infrastructure will also be utilised for development of manpower and good players. He said.

We will take up our proposal for promotion of the games and sports in the state . Also discussion is for supporting the Olympic association affiliated games and sports and non affiliated games and sports and also to bring out good players and to support them. He said.
Discussions were held on Olympic games games including state/central sports control board, several sports association has sought for provisional affiliation with AOA has constituted commission for selection and support to various organisations. He said.

He said we will see that the organisation which can bring name and fame for state and country in their respective field will be given preference and priority would also be given emphasis. The AOA will see that all the things are held in the most transparent manner and corruption free.Tedir added.
Secretary General AOA Bamang Tago stated that sport has no longer remain just sports but Sports has emerged as industries globally and appeal to the youth of the state to opt sports as professional.  The meeting also seriously viewed the non performance of many state sports associations and later constituted a committee to examine and recommend for appropriate decisions of the  President AOA.  

Later, the meeting constituted various Commissions and Committees for redressal & examination of underlying concerns issues for systematic growth of the sports in the state.
Recognising the contribution towards the development of sports in the state, Likha Tara and Padi Richo have been unanimously appointed by the house as the “Life Time President” and “Chief Advisor” of Arunachal Olympic Association without voting right.
