ITANAGAR, 10 Mar: The seventh session of the Arunachal legislative assembly will begin on Friday. The deputy speaker Tesam Pongte informed the media here on Thursday that besides the presentation of the budget, some bills will be tabled during the session.
“On the first day, the Governor will address the assembly. The deputy chief minister Chowna Mein also holds finance ministry will present budget on 14th March,” informed deputy speaker. He further said apart from a few amendments bill related to universities, GST there will be no major bill presented during the session. He also added that for the first time the bills will be passed through electronic voting.
The private members resolutions will be there with question hours and short duration discussion as normal will be there. He said.
The session will begin from March 11. There shall be no session on March 12 & 13 on being Saturday and Sunday and will continue till March 16 if the business is completed or may be extended to next day i.e. March 17. Dy Speaker added.
