ITANAGAR, Jun 27: The Anti corruption Foundation(ACF), Kra Dadi district Unit urged upon the special investigation cell vigilance (SIC) to speedily investigate with free and fair manner on the allegation of fund mismanagement under 14th finance commissions with regards to Kra Dadi district.
Addressing media persons here on Monday at Arunachal Press Club, The Anti corruption Foundation, Kra Dadi district unit President Tai Tahar, said that they had filed Complaint on 22.November 2021 before the Officer-in-Charge, SIC against misappropriation and embezzlement of Central Fund amounting more than Rs.14 Crores of Public Money and illegal payment of bills in connection with “Expenditure Statement of Fund received against 14th Finance Commission under DPDO for Kra-Daadi district.
But our complaint was not taken up and any action by SIC was not initiated. And we have approach several occasions but unfortunately no action was taken.
we have approached Superintendent of Police Special Vigilance Cell, Itanagar and also approached Chief Secretary cum Chief Vigilance Officer, Itanagar regarding non-registration of our FIR on case but no action has been initiated. He said.
Finding no option we have filed Public Interest Litigation (PIL) in the court of law. He said.
Filed on 03 February 2022 at Gauhati High court Itanagar Permanent bench Naharlagun and after four time hearing ,the PIL was disposed off on 8 June 2022 and given approval for SIC Enquiry on the matter and the same was endorsed to Inspector Karbom Tao for further enquiry with immediate effect.
The NGO request the SIC to expedite the enquiry and register the case and book all the culprit involved in embezzlement of public money to those found gulty. He said.
The organization also requested the public leader, and publics of the district to support the Anti corruption Foundation and so that truth can be dig out accuse should be get punishment.
