ITANAGAR, MAY 13 : The activist Sol Dodum of Seppa who was sitting on dharna at the Tennis court at IG Park for several days has called off his further democratic movement after the state government has recognized almost all the charter of demand put forward to the state government earlier.
Speaking to media, Dodum said that I have been here after a long foot march from Seppa to state capital for a solution of the potable drinking water supply to the denizens of Seppa township the district headquarter of East Kameng and I carried out dharna and even hunger strike to press genuine demand of the people of Seppa and it is an eye opener for people of other district of state. He said.
The drinking water supply is not only an issue for a few people and family but it was a demand for the general public and not an individual and the state government decision of which order was handed over to me by Capital DC Talo Potom on Thursday with the transfer order of PHED Seppa Division Bharat Sonam. Dodum said.
The transfer of EE was not only the demand but the person who attacked me and my team who was going to protest after the approval of district administration and the corruption going on need to be unearthed and due to which I was stuck and all these demands for the public and today. He said.
I have submitted a memorandum to the state government of all my charter of demand and the state government has approved for the transfer of the Seppa case to SIT and investigation of corruption of PHED Seppa division by SIC (Vigilance) is a welcome decision and thanks the state government for the same. He said.
This a public victory and thanks to each and every one those who stood behind him during the democratic movement right from Seppa to state capital and all those public support from various parts of state. Dodum said.
Since day one of his democratic movement, the media has been always supporting my movement against the genuine demand for clean water, roads and others and the government order for the same is a public victory. He said.
There were seven charter of demands of which almost all are supposed to be resolved and the state government has ordered for SIC enquiry, the Seppa PS case has been ordered to be transferred to SIT. He said.
The foot march which I have carried is eye-opening for officers and they need to understand and know that there are hundreds of Sol Dodum in all parts of the state. I have made a humble beginning and the people of state have realized and woke up and it is a new revolution. He said.
There were several protests and a rally at Seppa and twice in the state capital and also in various parts of the state and thanks each and everyone for extending support and cooperation in the movement. Dodum added.
The activist Sol Dodum further said that the result of what has been today is due to the support and cooperation of each and everyone and thanks the Chief Minister Pema Khandu, Home Minister Bamang Felix and team East Kameng, Capital DC Talo Potom and SP Jimmy Chiram.
it is to mention that the state government vide order No VIG-82/2022/1131 May 13 2022 that the state government has approved for conducting of preliminary enquiry against the complaint dated of 19.04.2022 lodge by Sol (Solung Dodum) of Vikash colony, New Seppa against the PHE & WS department, Seppa Division for fund misappropriation and low quality construction works in C/O water treatment plant (WTP) Nyari Welly (Lai Moya) model village, Seppa and other projects.
The vigilance department directed the SP SIC (Vigilance), AP Civil Sectt for conducting preliminary enquiry and the file bearing No-SIC/VIG/Complt-27/2022 dtd 19.04.2022 in original is sent for necessary action.
In an another order by Director general of Police, Police headquarter(PHQ) has order for transfer of Seppa police station case no-13/2022 u/s-323/324/341/427/34/120B IPC to crime branch police station (SIT), PHQ, Itanagar for further investigation.
In an order issued by PHQ vide order no-PHQ/CB-PS/CR-04 (AO/2000-22 dated May 13 2022 has directed the SP East Kameng district, Seppa to handover the up to date case diaries and relevant documents to the OC, Crime branch police station (SIT), PHQ Itanagar for further investigation.
Earlier the PHED Seppa Division Executive Engineer Bharat Sonam was transferred from Seppa to the office of PHED CE (WZ), Itanagar and the SE Rupa circle Joi Angu to continue to hold the charge of Seppa division vide order no-SECY/PHE-04/2022 dated May 11 2022.
The state government through a press release has mentioned the report of the high level fact finding committee and work progress of water supply scheme of Seppa township in time bound and phase manner.
