19 beneficiaries received the compensation payment of NH-415 on 2nd day

BANDERDEWA, MAY 25: Nineteen beneficiaries have received the compensation payment on 2nd day of the disbursement at Circle office here. Informed Naharlagun EAC cum Chairman of the Compensation Board Likha Radh.

Radh inform that today was the 2nd day and till 4 PM only nineteen people have turned up to the office to received the compensation amounting to Rupees Fifty Six lakh, seventy thousand, two hundred forty one (Rs. 5670241). As of 2nd day a total of 67 beneficiaries has received the payment of the compensation of the infrastructure. Assets on NH-415 of Package-C from Nirjuli to Banderdewa out of total 136. He said.

All 136 beneficiaries were to be given away with the compensation but due to some problems and other issues only 98 beneficiaries were earmarked for distribution from May 24 to 28th out of which 48 persons were given away on 1st day and 19 on second day. As per DPR a sum of Rupees Eleven crore sixty nine lakhs has to be disbursed to the beneficiaries. Radh said.

The disbursement shall continue upto May 28 during the office working hours, those who do not receive the compensation payment during these four days due to lockdown and medical issue may also collect their payment with production of all necessary documents as required at the office of the Chairman, Naharlaugn. Radh informed.

The compensation is being paid from the chainage no-51.700 to 59.199 of 7.5 Kilometer from catholic church located at Nirjuli to Banderdewa. The highest amount of compensation to the beneficiaries is Rs. 72.07 lakhs while the lowest amount is stated to be Rs. 3.794. EAC added
