ITANAGAR, Dec 13 : The District Administration (DA) on Tuesday initiated repairing of the suspension bridge which connected Puroik Colony with Itanagar and Naharlagun.
The bridge connecting Puroik colony and National Highways – 415 was posing a serious threat to the commuters due to dilapidated condition. Therefore, by engaging local residents of Puroik colony, DA has taken up the restoration of the bridge.
Not only the restoration of the bridge but the district administration has also taken up the task to renovate the Government Middle School and borewell for the greater interest of the students.
Talking to this daily, DC Potom informed that the amount has been sanctioned for the restoration of bridge, renovation of school and bore well at Puroik colony.
Stating if anything goes wrong, Puroik colony would have been cut off from the rest of the capital complex, residence of Papu Nallah said, “Not only the Puroik community but as laymen, we are very much satisfied with the initiative of DC,”.
Earlier on two occasions the DC Potom has inspected the school and interacted the students and understand the grievances of the students and school of pathetic condition of class room, bad condition of roof and scarcity water supply and damaged and dilapidated suspension bridge connecting school with NH-415 in Papunallah.
