Libang handed over 50 nos of portable oxygen concentrator to DCH, Chimpu

ITANAGAR, MAY 27: The Health & Family Welfare Minister Alo Libang today handed over fifty nos of portable oxygen concentrators to Dedicated Covid Hospital (DCH), Chimpu at a simple ceremony.

Libang informed the press that the fifty nos of portable oxygen concentrator od 10 liter per minute capacity which has been received from a New Delhi based firm ‘Mission Oxygen’ on the initiative of Tadar Babin, businessman and son of former Minister Late Tadar Tang. This oxygen concentrator will be utilized for the patient and will also be kept near the patient bed and in time of need the services will be utilized in beds where the oxygen pipeline and cylinder system is not available at DCH. He said.

Oxygen is the most needed during the treatment and we heard across the country of shortage of oxygen and I hope there would be no shortage of oxygen in the state. Libang said.

Lauding the services rendered by the medical fraternity during the covid pandemic said most of them are doing round the clock duty as a special responsibility and urge upon all the medical fraternity not to get depressed on their service due to philanthropic works for the service of humanity.

We have to DCH in state which include one at BPGH Pasighat and another here at Chimpu, we have 19 ICU beds with 464 beds with 245 oxygen support bed, we have 37 DCHC with 19 ICU and oxygen beds, apart of it we are installing plant with 100 liter per minute and these portable oxygen concentrator are received on contribution and we have so far 400 such oxygen concentrator. He said. We also have sufficient nos of jumbo cylinders and small cylinders. LIbang added.

We have provision of 210 beds expandable and till date we are using 126 beds and we may add another 168 beds in case it is needed. He said.

TRIHMS Director, Dr. Moji Jini informs that we are ready in all situations to serve humanity and here at DCH the doctors and other staff are doing their best effort to serve the patient in the best possible way. We may even think to convert the TRIHMS Into Covid hospital if there is a huge rush and time and situation warrant.

Dr. T Kaki, Dr. Tamar Paling among other senior medical officers were present on the occasion.
