ITANAGAR, MAY 26 : The state government is there who can only take the decision on extension of the containment period/lockdown in the capital complex or any part of the district in the state. Informed Capital Deputy commissioner Talo Potom.
“ we are in critical period and passing day by day and everyday is going well and it would be better if all section of society cooperate and support the health department, capital administration and all frontline workers who are working for the safety and security of people in health sector in fight against Coronavirus (Covid 19) pandemic”. Potom said.
The internal covid testing is going on across the capital region, earlier there were 24 % of positive cases of Covid 19 in capital complex which has reduced to 16 % which need to go below 10 % and since the containment period is upto 31st May and hope everything goes well. we all have to put our best effort to reduce the cases. Potom said.
At the first stage of 2nd wave the testing were done only in check gates but after the government decision for testing in various hospital and also after random testing we find that in last five days it was around 24 % and on Tuesday it come down to 16 % and this was only possible after the government decision and active surveillance and working of the medical staffs and support and cooperation of the general masses. Potom added.
He further appealed to all sections of society to maintain the SoP and obey the guidelines of the Covid 19 issues by the health department and administration from time to time.
