NAHARLAGUN, The Itanagar former MLA and a senior BJP leader of state and BJP national secretary (ST Morcha) Kipa Babu received serious injury when his motorcycle reportedly which he was riding meet with an accident with a car coming from opposite direction in Sagalee police station area of Papum Pare district on Saturday evening.
Papum Pare district police sources informed that a report of a road accident has been reported on Trans Arunachal Highway (TAH) in between Sagalee-Leporiang near Dedolo at around 4.30-5 PM on Saturday evening. Babu was brought to Sagalee CHC but the doctor has referred to TRIHMS, Naharlagun for treatment and was sent to Naharlagun in an ambulance.
Babu was riding two wheeler (Bullet) bearing registration no-AR 01 N 2491 (blue color) and was coming back to capital complex from East Kameng after attending a meeting/programme, the car by which the two wheeler collided ( Maruti-800) bearing registration no- AR 01 C 3551 and the rider is yet to be located but as per sources he is also injured however yet to confirmed. The sources said.
Both the motorcycle and car have been seized by Sagalee Police and cases are being registered as per police sources informed.
As per information the former MLA has received serious head injury and for his better treatment he was airlifted to Guwahati for medical attention at Excel Care Hospital on Sunday afternoon.
